Ingredients For Peach Protein Shake

Peaches: I use frozen peaches to naturally sweeten the shake and give it that thick, frosty texture without needing extra sweeteners. They blend up super creamy and keep the shake nice and cold. You could also use fresh peaches and add more ice to the mixture.

Greek Yogurt: Greek yogurt adds serious creaminess and protein, making this shake extra filling. It also gives the smoothie a little tang to balance out the sweetness of the peaches.

Protein Powder: Vanilla works best here, and blends seamlessly with the peaches for a creamy taste without overpowering the flavor. Look for a tasty protein on its own to make sure it will only enhance the shake's flavor. My favorite brand is Cleanish Plant-Based Protein Powder.

FAQs

Can I Swap With Other Fruits?

Yes! This smoothie can easily be altered with almost any fresh or frozen fruit. For less sweet fruits, you may need to add a little raw honey.

Can I Prep This Peach Smoothie Ahead?

Yes! I share how to prep smoothies ahead in this post on Smoothie Freezer Packs.

Does It Matter What Milk I Use?

Not really, you can use any milk of choice -- just be sure to look for unsweetened options to keep the added sugars down.

Do I Have To Add Protein Powder?

No, you do not need to add protein powder to this smoothie -- there is already some protein from the milk and greek yogurt, but adding a clean protein supplement can increase the protein content drastically, upwards of 20-30g of protein per serving.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk or milk of choice
  • ½ cup full fat unsweetened Greek yogurt
  • 1 scoop Cleanish vanilla protein powder
  • ¾ cup frozen peach slices
  • 2-4 ice cubes
  • optional: 1 tsp. raw honey for additional sweetness

Instructions

  1. 1

Starting with the almond milk, place all the ingredients into a blender. Depending on your blender’s settings, first start on the chop mode to chop up the ice and frozen peaches, followed by pureeing the mixture to create a smooth, even consistency.

  2. 2

In order to get your preferred consistency, you can also start by not adding any ice, following the other steps above. Once all other ingredients are mixed together, slowly add the ice, mix and then test. Continue to add more ice cubes until the desired consistency is met.

NOTES

  • If your peaches aren’t super ripe, add a drizzle of honey, maple syrup, or a pitted Medjool date to naturally sweeten things up.
  • If too thick, add some more milk.
  • If too thin, add some more ice.
